I’m interested in how money works, the cost of labour, the time it takes to do things, the sayings like: “money never sleeps” or “the only free cheese is in the mousetrap”.
To fund my Masters at the Royal College of Art, I sold every day of the two year course. I worked out that each day I was in college cost me £55.88 so people could go onto my website, click a day of their choice, buy it, then on that day, I would send them something in the post as a thank you.
It brought up many thoughts about time, WORK, money, labour, pressure, expectation, the value of art and art debt.
