I’ve had a few different studios over the years. One had a space between the window and the frame that could fit a squirrel, one didn’t come with radiators, one came with an iron roof that would add 20 degrees to the hottest days of the year and would freeze your water installation in the winter. I also had one where the lights and heating never turned off and another that leaked buckets of water from the aircon unit. For a while it seemed simpler (and cheaper) to dress up as a studio instead.
<aside> 💡 If you own or manage your studio, the biggest thing you can do is switch to a more sustainable energy supplier. You could also look into renewable energy infrastructure, change the type of lighting, add recycling bins and establish a waste protocol. If you don’t own or manage the building, you can email the studio provider to highlight these points to them using GCC's Email Template.
