You know those days when you wake up and you just feel good, maybe you had a deeper sleep or maybe it’s just the stars aligning, either way you feel good and you get up and have a wonderful morning doing all the things you love to do.

You then meet with a friend in the afternoon, they’re a little bit down, maybe they didn’t sleep too deeply or maybe their stars just didn’t align that day, either way, you chat together, meandering around the park and at the end of the day, your friend’s feeling a lot more energised and you’ve both had really quite a lovely afternoon.

You then go to a social gathering in the evening and there’s loads of people there - some of them woke up feeling really great and some didn’t feel so good. But the vibe there is nice and by the end of the evening, everyone is feeling great and positive and energised.

Someone then plays a video on the projector and wow, there is something sublime about it, the message in it is so moving and you feel so inspired to change that something in your life that you feel might impact the whole wide world…!

Final Spheres of Impact.mp4

<aside> 🫧 We can make positive change on four different levels or “spheres” - 1. the stuff you can change individually like altering what materials you use, how you travel, how you ship your work etc, 2. how you work with others - people like your framer, the fabricator, the gallerist etc, 3. by encouraging wider change through joining networks or collaborations, 4. through the art that you make - like that time you saw a film or installation or play that made you think and has changed how you go about things in some way…
